The Inside Sales Associate will be responsible for managing the company’s pipeline of target projects, from lead capture to bid conclusion. Candidates must be expert in Salesforce.com, project management and analysis, lead generation and pipeline management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively within a Silicon Valley venture-funded green building materials company to create and manage the Salesforce.com database and various lead generation programs
• Research/analyze project and architect data from Dodge.com (construction project database) and provide excellent intelligence to our National Sales Manager, our dealers, and other stakeholders
• Become an expert forecaster of project ship dates, volumes, and revenue recognition dates, using Salesforce.com to organize and present data
• Execute assigned projects with CalStar’s 29 architectural dealers to maximize specifications sales
• Identify “specification substitution” opportunities for the first 6 – 12 months of production
• Interface with the Marcomm Director to target e-mail blast campaigns and other micro-targeted CRM campaigns
• Identify sales trends and tools to help focus the overall efforts and travel schedules of the team
• Learn as much as possible and speak fluently about brick and paver specifications; brick and paver sales cycles; and all product technical information
• Make outward bound calls to architectural brick dealers, architects, project owners and others
• Communicate effectively and become a trusted “go to” team member for CalStar’s dealers and internal team
• Travel as needed (no more than 25% of the time) to dealer locations across the U.S.
Qualifications:

• Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Superior professionalism and judgment
• Strong work ethic, great mental and physical stamina, and an innate need to compete
• 4 or more years of experience in insides sales, preferably in the building materials business
• A bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, engineering or a liberal arts degree and deep curiosity in LEED construction
• Special consideration given to candidates with specific masonry, architectural specifications, or Dodge database search experience
