Vice President, Finance & Administration

Jim is responsible for all back office functions at CalStar, including accounting, human resources, purchasing, safety, insurance, and facilities. Prior to joining CalStar, Jim was CFO and COO at The Parkinson’s Institute, a $12 million medical research institute in Sunnyvale, California. Before that, Jim was CFO at several high-tech companies in northern California (COMSIS) and the Washington, D.C. area (DISC, GRC International). He spent the earlier half of his career at manufacturing organizations in defense electronics (Watkins-Johnson Company), microwave devices (Western Microwave) and military life-support systems (S-TRON). Jim holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.
