Director of Manufacturing

Michael Telischak leads CalStar’s manufacturing operations. His first assignment is as project manager and operations manager of CalStar’s Caledonia, Wisconsin face brick and paver plant. Michael has wide-ranging management experience in manufactured concrete construction products. From his start in precast products, he has worked with hardscape and masonry industry leaders such as Pavestone, Basalite and EP Henry, supplying large industrial projects such as the 50-acre container yard at the Port of Oakland, California, as well as supporting DIY efforts through national chains such as Home Depot and Lowe’s. Using his expertise in plant commissioning, large capital projects, inventory control and capacity management, he recently completed a fast-track multiple line, multimillion dollar greenfield manufacturing facility producing concrete masonry, retaining walls, pavers and decorative slabs in Pennsylvania. Michael is certified in Production and Inventory Management from APICS, the Society for Operations Management.
